Did you know that helium balloons have been part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade since 1927? This week, Mrs. Cassidy's fourth grade class learned about the history of the parade by reading "Balloons Over Broadway" by Melissa Sweet.
After learning about the parade, they went on to create their own balloons for the parade and recreated the parade with their own balloons.
