
In preparation for celebrating International Dot Day, Mrs. St.Clair’s class practiced taking turns and making their mark. 🔴🟣🔵🟢🟡⚪️










Mrs Grube’s 1st grade class is focusing on building reading 📖 stamina. They enjoy reading in book boats, bean bags, and other cozy places in their room. 💙




Mrs. Maseha's 2nd grade class practiced adding numbers using a hundreds chart by playing the math version of Chutes and Ladders 🛝➕🪜









Now that our car 🚙 line is running more efficiently, we need to prioritzie instructional time for staff & students by ending the line on time. Starting tomorrow, any car 🚗 that enters the drive after 7:30 will need to park, walk the student in, and sign in tardy. 💻 A staff member will be at the end of the line at 7:30 to direct late cars into the parking lot. If you enter the drive before 7:30 you will not be tardy. ⏰

ACA will be celebrating International Dot Day on Friday, September 13th. It is a day set aside to celebrate creativity, courage, and collaboration using the story "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. Please help us celebrate by wearing clothing with any kind of dots to school on September 13th.

Our Literacy/STEM Night will be Tuesday, September 24 from 6-7:30***. There will be food trucks 🛻, the Bedford Falls Book 📚 Fair, Spartanburg County Book 📕 Mobile, live animals at the Spartanburg Science Center Station, and a Slime Station! Come join us for some learning fun!!

On Tuesday, September 24 our parent workshops, Empowering Parents, will be from 5:00-5:45. Childcare and pizza 🍕 will be provided for those that register. Choose from the following workshop topics: Safety ⚠️, Reading Strategies 📕, Math 🧮 Strategies, Positive ✅ Parenting, and Technology/Parent Communication 💻 (ROOMS, portal, etc.). Families attending Empowering Parents will have early access to Literacy/STEM Night!

With the weather being cooler 🥶 in the mornings and warmer ☀️ in the afternoons, it is a prime time for students to shed heavier layers 🧥and sometimes leave them behind. Help us return lost items to you by labeling 🖊️ your child's jackets and sweatshirts! Even initials can help us figure out where they belong!

First grade students became Reading Rock Stars 🎸⭐️ in the library this week! They learned that a rock star is someone who tries and doesn’t give up. They plan to work hard to become reading rock stars this year! 📚
