The Literary Club is proud to share the Spring 2024 volume of Lines and Rhymes, the James F. Byrnes High School literary journal. Facilitated by BHS English faculty member, Dr. Michael Jett, Lines and Rhymes is a student-led publication showcasing the creative work of students at Byrnes. Dr. Jett shared that, "in the process of creating this journal, students engaged in a form of real-world project-based learning. They studied examples of print and digital journals, developed and implemented a plan for soliciting and evaluating submissions, collaborated in genre teams to offer suggestions for revisions of the submitted works, and learned web design skills as they created the digital version of our journal. It was quite an experience!"
