A familiar face will be leading the James F. Byrnes High School golf team on the links, starting this Spring.    Spartanburg District Five Schools, along with Byrnes High School, is pleased to announce the selection of Brady Trout as the new Varsity boys golf coach.

For the last two years, Trout has proudly served the team as Assistant Coach, while assisting the girls Rebel golf team for the last six seasons.

Growing up in Spartanburg County, Trout played high school golf at nearby Chapman High School, and went on to play collegiately at Spartanburg Methodist College.  In 2016, he was part of the SMC golf team that went all the way to win a National Championship.

Becoming a head coach has always been a dream of mine,” says Trout.  “I love this game, and I want to help grow it, while watching athletes succeed.”

Trout will officially begin his new role this spring.  Congratulations Coach Brady Trout!
