Mrs. Grube 1st graders and Mrs. Morrissey’s 5th graders worked on a collaborative project with Miss Koon. The 5th grade buddies helped their first grade buddies create a class book. 📕 They used book creator to write ✍️ and illustrate 🖍️ their best tips about friendship. ❤️

🎗️ September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️ Join ACA as we participate in Kidz in Lids - a hat day to raise money for Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas. Students may donate $1.00 to wear their favorite hat to school on Friday, September 19th. All money goes to help children right here in the upstate. *The class in each grade level that raises the most money will receive a popsicle treat.*

Picture Day is Tuesday, September 16!
4th grade artists are studying Egyptian Hieroglyphics and writing their own messages with crayons. 🖍️ Then they add watercolor 🎨 paint on top. This creates a resist artwork because the paint doesn’t stick to their crayon message.
Crow/Weaver’s K5 class celebrated successful iReady lessons with a donut party today! 🍩

Don't forget! Wednesday, September 24 is a half day for students. We will dismiss at 11:30. Staff will have Professional Development in the afternoon.
As on all half days, there will be no ACA Afterschool on this day. Our K4 and PCD classes are not held on half days.
