We are looking forward to welcoming the high school graduating Class of 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ back to 💙💚Abner Creek Academy💙💚 for Grad Walk on Tuesday, May 19. We will start the Grad Walk at 1pm. Please arrive at 12:45 in your cap and gown.👩🏼🎓👨🏾🎓
The graduates will participate in a parade, take pictures 📷 on the playground, and attend a reception 🎉 in the Media Center. Families of the graduates 🎓 are welcome to attend! We cannot wait to welcome back our Gators! Once a 🐊, always a 🐊!
Please keep in mind:
-We now have a new longer driveway 🚗 shared with the new Abner Creek Middle School! You will enter driveway closer to the middle school and use the traffic circle ⭕️ to access our parking lot.
-Our celebration together will conclude by 2pm so our student body can prepare dismissal.
Mrs. Grube and Mrs. Morrissey’s Gator 🐊 buddies had a wonderful time in the gaga pit. The 5th graders took time to teach the 1st graders how to play. They did a wonderful job and the first graders are ready for gaga ball!
The Wildlife Geeks came to visit kindergarten today and brought many different types of animals. 🐹🕷️🐍

Mrs. Blackwell and Mrs. Grube’s 1st grade classes worked on an activity in library with Miss Koon. Students learned about biographies and created trading cards on the person of their choice. Their classes got together and traded cards in order to learn facts about famous people.
Congratulations to Mrs. Becky Barnhill who is our most recent ABCD Award winner! Her nominations said: Mrs. Barnhill has put in so much time and effort into organizing a class trip to the Special Olympics this year! She also cares deeply about her students and wants to see them succeed. We are lucky to have her at ACA! 💙💚

Our most recent ABCD Award Winner is our K4 Teacher - Mrs. Mehaffey. Her nomination said: Mitzi Mehaffey has gone above and beyond each and every year since the school opened in 2008. Faithful to car 🚙 duty each afternoon to call names in all kinds of weather keeping each child safe, and she does it with a smile on her face. Mrs. "Haffey" teaches our youngest GATORS 🐊 how to be great gators in all areas academic, social, and emotional and encourages each one to be the best they can be. She is famous for meeting children where they are and moving them forward no matter what! 💙
