congratulations

Congratulations to our 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year, Hannah Lovorn and Support Employee of the Year, Mike Goode!

Mrs. Hannah Lovorn is an English teacher and our leadership teacher. Ms. Lovorn is know by all our students for her kind and caring attitude and a passion for her students. Her initiative goes beyond the classroom where you can find her and her students, selling concessions for the basketball games, selling Boo Grams for Valentine's Day, or setting up spirit week complete with a "Pie a Teacher in the Face" contest.

"She's like helpful with her students and generous, she is always helping us out with what we need," says Denzel Campos about Ms. Lovorn.

"Hannah just goes above and beyond for all her students, no matter what the situation, she has a big smile on her face and puts her students first," said colleague Alan Gibson

"She's short, but mighty with a big heart," jokes Trai Means when asked to describe Ms. Lovorn

"Hannah brings a smile to all her students' faces, she helps colleagues, and is the perfect example of who teacher of the year should be," boasted fellow English teacher Tori Hicks.

Mr. Mike Goode is our lead custodian here at BFA and if he isn't walking around the halls cleaning up after some messy ninth graders, you will find him zipping around on his floor cleaner asking everyone "how's it going?" Mr. Mike's work is never done, but he always does it with a smile on his face.

"Mr. Mike doesn't just tend to the needs of our building, but he tends to the needs of everyone in the building," says librarian Kelly Watson.

"He always very kind and funny, and BFA is better because of him being here," bragged Callie Johnson

"Mike is humble, witty, funny and talented with many gifts, and we are lucky to have him at BFA," bragged school nurse Mandy Felty.

"Mr. Mike does a great job keeping our school clean," said Cam Cambra.

Thank you both for all you do to make our school a better place for our students and faculty!
