Students in Dr. Knebel's classes have been learning how to research and debate. They put their knowledge to the test and were assigned topics to debate. They'll use these skills as they get ready to begin their argumentative essay unit. 📖








Mrs. Richards students homeroom earned a game period for passing 50 iReady Reading lessons with a 100% accuracy last week! What a GREAT incentive!








🎊The day finally came for students in Mrs. Landon and Mrs. McCrary's classes to unveil their mummified peppers. Back in September, they studied Egypt🇪🇬and used similar techniques to mummify a jalapeño pepper. 🌶️ Looks as though they did a great job!











Ms. Williams students finished their book on making butter, so they tried it for themselves! 🧈 What a fun way to apply their knowledge 🧠



Students in Mrs. Richards class participated in flash light reading today! What a fun way to engage and get students to fall in love with reading. 📚📖











These students participated in the SC ASTA Violin & Viola Choir event at North Greenville University. Way to go students, we are so proud of you! 🎻🎼







Our students participated in a FUN assembly this morning with information on our FUNdraiser. Packets will be coming home today with all the details. Get your child registered so they can start earning fun prizes! 🥳


Mrs. McCrary's class created models to explore and understand seafloor spreading. 🌊 We love a hands on manipulative to bring a topic to life! 👋🏼






This morning our 6th grade students started completing the SCOIS assessment. This is the first step in our students exploration of potential careers for them after high school. 🎓 We love helping them make decisions to reach their goals! ✅




🚌IMrs. Weachock's classes took on Roper Mountain to get a HANDS ON experience learning more of their science standards. 👩🔬👨🔬They were able to participate in fun activities to explore fun topics in science! 🧪









Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. Collins' classes went to Roper Mountain today and participated in labs with reactions and matter!🧑🏼🔬👩🔬They even visited the planetarium and watched a show on the Earth, moon, and sun! 🌎🌖🌞









Our students have been enjoying their new recess area this week. They now have an area for four square, picnic tables, and basketball. 🏀⛹️

Our Beech Springs beta club met this morning and worked on posters for our cafeteria tables to encourage our students to spread kindness over the next month. We love the example they're setting for their peers. 🤝💕











👀Check out the STEM projects these 6th graders did this week! To review Mesoamericans, they created chinampas- which are floating islands the Mesoamericans used to farm on. 🌾 Students collaborated and designed their ideas, then tested and redesigned if needed to improve their projects. 💯

Mrs. Ferraris' classes created a human number line to practice integers! What a fun way to get her students moving around and making connections!








Students and teachers wore 🔆BRIGHT🔆 colors today to celebrate the 100th day! What a fun way to mark the day in the year. 🤗










Our students have celebrated being 💯 days brighter. They wrote down ways they've given 💯 percent of goals that they have to give 💯 percent in the next days.
