Do you have a child entering Kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year? Spartanburg District Five's newest elementary school, Tyger River Elementary, is excited to welcome these students to our classrooms!
Kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open, and parents and families are encouraged to register now to prepare for the upcoming school year. According to the state of South Carolina, a student must turn five on or before September 1 in order to attend Kindergarten in 2024-25.
Since our campus is currently still under construction, registration for Tyger River Elementary is taking place at Middle Tyger Community Center, located at 84 Groce Road, in Lyman. Parents and families can visit the center Monday-Friday, during normal business hours, to register their child. To ensure you are zoned for Tyger River, simply click here and enter your address.
Don't forget to bring:
- Proof of residency (a water or power bill, or mortgage/lease agreement is acceptable)
- Vaccination records
- Child's birth certificate
Registration for new 4K students in District Five is also open! According to the state of South Carolina, a student must turn four on or before September 1 in order to attend 4K in 2024-25, Attendance in 4K is limited, and based on academic necessity.
