BFA would like to give a huge shoutout to two amazing women as our Teacher of the Year and our Support Employee of the year!
Our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Katrina Copeland, is an amazing resource to many students at BFA! She has poured countless hours into helping so many of our students succeed in all areas through her co-teaching and academic seminar classes. Mrs. Copeland cares for all her students and empowers them to do their best and to accomplish their goals!
Our Support Employee of the Year, Ms. Francina Pullen, keeps BFA in tip top shape on a daily basis! All someone has to do is send out the call and Ms. Francina is there to help! No matter if it is a spill in the cafeteria or an overflowing toilet, when someone calls on the radio for assistance, you will always her Ms. Francina reply with "I'm on it!" and see her going to the rescue with a smile on her face!
Please congratulate these two wonderful ladies for all they do for our BFA students and staff!

👷🏻🚚👷🏾♀️Last Friday over 100 BFA students were able to learn about multiple professions on The Be Pro Be Proud Truck. The Be Pro Be Proud Truck brings the world of work right to students! The truck features simulations in truck driving, heavy equipment, plumbing, and more! What a great way for students to explore potential careers! 👷🏻🚚👷🏾♀️

Mrs. Gentry and student, Daisy Cardell, were caught twinning showing their support for the Chiefs ahead of Sunday's big game! 🏈🏈
Don't save that homework until Sunday night this weekend! 😜
Who do you hope wins?

Due to a winter storm watch issued by the National Weather Service, all District Five Schools and offices will be closed on Friday, January 10. ❄️ Friday, January 10 will be an e-Learning day for all District Five students. 💻 This decision was made in the best interest of safety for all D5 students and staff, as snow, sleet and ice is predicted by late Friday morning, and roads will likely be unsafe for buses, families or student drivers to travel 🚌❄️🚗
Teachers will be in touch with students regarding all e-Learning assignments 📚📝. All after school and weekend activities are also canceled.📆
We appreciate your patience and understanding, as safety is always our top priority in District Five! #WeAreD5
