💡Due to the widespread power outages and damage from the hurricane, Spartanburg District Five missed a total of six instructional days: September 30, October 1-4, and October 7.
State law requires all South Carolina school districts to build at least three makeup days into their academic calendars each year. While the South Carolina legislature is still discussing whether to forgive additional days missed due to Hurricane Helene, we want to make you aware that the following designated makeup days will be used:
🔴February 14, 2025 - eLearning Day for students (previously a makeup/staff development day)
🔵March 14, 2025 - eLearning Day for students (previously a makeup/staff development day)

Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now open! Please be sure to visit the school to complete the registration process. The office will be open Monday through Friday, 8:00-3:00. Please be sure to bring all of your supporting documents with you to register your student.

Normal schedule for students and staff tomorrow, Tuesday, January 14th.

Out of an abundance of caution, all District Five schools will operate on a two hour delay on Monday, January 13..❄️
Due to this weekend's winter weather, ice still remains on roadways in outlying parts of our district. A two hour delay allows for more visibility for our buses, and all drivers.🚌🚗
Elementary schools will begin at 9:30 a.m. and middle & high school at 10:15 a.m.⏰ School buses will run two hours later than their normal pick up times.🚌. We look forward to seeing all students and staff tomorrow! #WeAreD5
