Mrs. Landon's class took it back old school and made homemade butter today. 🧈 They applied their knowledge of states of matter to discuss the changes as they took turns "shaking it off" as she says. Once it was done, they all were able to eat a slice of bread with their own butter on it. 🧈

🥼We had some doctors in training at Beech Springs today.🩺 Mrs. Landon and Mrs. McCrary's classes suited up to head into the "OR" today and make their rounds. 👩‍⚕️🧑‍⚕️They listened to their patients history to figure out which body systems were affected and give a diagnosis. What a great way to apply their knowledge to real life situations! 🩻 #handson #sciencerocks

Our Madden Club kicked off last week. Students were able to meet with our club sponsors and learn the rules of the club and game. We are so excited for this opportunity as it will keep our students accountable. Our rules include that all work in their classes must be completed before they are allowed to play. They'll also learn team building skills as they work together. Thank you again to our generous donors for the gaming systems! 🏈🎮

Ms. Lee's classes have been using trail mix recipes to practice their fraction skills. So what better way to culminate their activity than by making their own trail mix in class to enjoy while they work. We love it when teachers make it FUN! 🍫🥨

Our students put on a wonderful celebration ceremony today for Veteran's day.🇺🇸 Students from after school choir, drama, band, and orchestra all performed. Student council members helped lead our guest to their seats and that all ran smoothly. We honored our Veteran's with a light breakfast after our ceremony. 🍳🥞We can never express how thankful we are for our Veteran's and their service! 🇺🇸
