May is a month that comes and goes quickly in middle school. This month our students took a series of tests to show us what they have learned. Over several days, they took two assessments in ELA, one in Math, and our Algebra 1 students took their EOC exam. We also took time to celebrate. As a school, we held our first House Olympiad where our six houses battled it out for the last time. Shortly after, we celebrated our 4th Quarter house champions (House Capi) with a House Celebration Day. A special thanks go out to the FCMS PTO and the Poplar Springs Fire Department for their help at the end-of-the-year celebrations.
A final note goes out to our students. FCMS enrolled 900 students this year. Each one of you brought something special to mix and contributed to the story of Florence Chapel. As our 8th grade moves on, students move to populate our newest sister schools, and we are about to be joined by 6th graders...please know that you will always be part of the FCMS family. We know that wherever you go, you will make us proud.
