Congratulations to Matthew Price, Grayson Crutchlow, and Madison Clark for earning a spot in the SC All-State Band. They represent the only 4% of students in the state who auditioned and earned a placement in the band! Also our esteemed FCMS band director Mrs. Crutchlow won the 2024 Phi Beta Mu Outstanding Bandmaster Award. This award is given annually to one band director in the state to recognize outstanding work and contributions! Well done! 🎼🎺🎷

Today we had the great honor to welcome several alumni from the original Florence Chapel High School onto our campus. After enjoying our Black History Month program, these special guests had the opportunity to browse through some yearbooks from FCHS to relive old memories and make some news friends from FCMS while doing so. It was such a privilege for us all! #WeAreD5 #fcmscougars

Today everyone in our school had the privilege of experiencing one of the most significant programs in our school’s history. As a part of Black History Month, FCMS took time to acknowledge the connection we have to the school that originally bore our name, Florence Chapel High School, one that was established in District 5 during the era of segregation in the US. We were so honored to welcome a number of alumni from the original FCHS today; their presence added so much gravity and meaning to the ceremony. Our chorus, step team, band, and orchestra all performed beautifully. Several staff members and students contributed as well, to what was an amazing experience for us all.

Super proud of Ari Lanford and Elle Wisecarver for leading FCA today for our 7th graders! Great preparation and delivery!
