Fifth graders became Investigators last week while completing their task cards for workshops. 🚀

Our little 5K pumpkins had the best time at Strawberry Hill, USA yesterday! 🎃 They enjoyed picking pumpkins, playing farm games, taking a hay ride and spending time with friends. 🚜

🚀Students in Mrs. Carovillano's class used chemical reactions to "grow" pumpkins!🎃

Fifth graders in Mrs. Collins class made their own cars. 🚙 Powered by baking soda and vinegar, they sent their cars flying down the sidewalk at RVES! 🚀

First grade field trip to Stewart Farms in October was a smashing success! 🎃

Congratulations to Patterson for making the Elementary State Choir!! 🎶 We know she will represent Reidville with pride! 🚀 We had several audition and we are so very proud of those ladies too. They worked so hard and really honored Reidville today while congratulating Patterson on her acceptance. Way to go ladies for demonstrating kindness and excitement for your peer. ❤️

Mrs. Clark's 5K class had a blast learning to play the drums in music with Mrs. Smith!

Mrs. Coons has been selected for the Discovery Education Advisory Council for the 2024-2025 school year. Discovery Education is such an amazing resource for students and educators. We are proud not only for Mrs. Coons, but that our students get to have such a valuable resource right here in our school.

Our third graders went on a field trip to Roper Mountain Science Center to learn all about habitats and different types of plant life and wildlife. 🐍 Thank you for having us, Roper Mountain! ⛰️

REMINDER! R.E.D. Week begins tomorrow!

R.E.D. Week is our alternative to Red Ribbon Week. We focus on the Really Excellent Decisions our students can make. The theme days are a way to reinforce the choices they can make to improve their physical and mental well-being. The Book Character Parade will be on Friday, October 25. Thank you for partnering with us to educate our students on making healthy choices for themselves!

Yesterday, we celebrated UNITY day! Orange for October, safety, kindness, acceptance, and inclusion! 🧡 We brainstormed ways to build commUNITY and went over ways to prevent bullying or how to respond if we see a friend being bullied. ⛔️
