We are excited to begin planning our upcoming Career Day on April 1, and we would love your help! This special event gives students the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of careers and the paths people take to get there. We are looking for parent and community volunteers who are willing to share about their job, skills, or experiences in a fun and age-appropriate way. Whether you work in an office, trade, service industry, healthcare, arts, or another field, your story can inspire our students! Mrs. Millan and Ms.Wall’s fifth grade classes traveled around the world to learn about different cultures and how they celebrate the holidays. 🌍 Students had to convert and calculate air miles to determine the flight costs. 💴 They were given a set budget for their trip to visit 5 different countries. Students had to purchase specific items like souvenirs, food, and accommodations throughout their travels. Along side their budgeting, through research, the students read of different cultures celebrations and learned some of the traditions of the countries they traveled including special meals, words used to celebrate in their language, and the history.
