🏫 Scholars in Dr. B’s 2nd grade class spent an entire day learning with BUBBLES! 🫧 They used engineering and design to create a bubble wand and bubble bottle container, they did grammar work with bubble themed sentences, wrote creative pieces about being trapped in a bubble, and solved math word problems about bubbles. They listened to a read aloud about the invention of bubble gum…their favorite fact was why it’s traditionally pink. They also experimented with bouncing bubbles and had some fun at the end of the day with bubble wands! 🚀

🎉 Thank you D5 Teacher Forum! Congratulations Mrs. Boyter! 🚀

🐟 Fabian’s Fishies had a productive but fun Friday this past week! They wrote poems for Mother’s Day which we know made their hearts melt! They also grew a special plant to make their mommas giggle! 🪴 Students also got to choose their fun Friday activity if they finished their weekly workshops! 🚀

This past Wednesday we celebrated National School Nurse Day. 🩺 We are so grateful to have Nurse Valentina with us each day! She is kind and patient and we appreciate her service to our school! 🏫
Please help us drop her a "thank you" or a quick line of how she went above and beyond for your student! 🚀

This week was Teacher Appreciation week across America. 🇺🇸 We are so very grateful for the opportunity to serve and educate our Reidville Rockets! 🚀

Camp Barefoot has been a longstanding tradition with our First Graders at Reidville. 🏕️ Students spent the week reading letters from home and responding, making and eating s’mores, eating sundaes, sorting and graphing gummy bears, and also had an in house field trip with the Critter Keeper! 🐍

Please come out and join us for a fun filled night of games, food and family time while we support our RVES Beta Club!

Fifth graders made clay donuts in art today! 🎨

Our last chorus concert for the year was a very sweet time for our fifth grade chorus students and their families. 🎶 Third through fifth graders made up our RVES Chorus this year and it was one of the best we have ever had - especially alongside our RVES Drum Club! We are looking forward to what they will accomplish next year! 🚀

Kindergarten students enjoyed learning about and observing interesting critters last week during their in house field trip! They even got to pet some of them! 🦎🐸🪱🐍 Thank you Critter Keepers!

✨ 4th graders do GLOW DAY! SC Ready Review can be fun too! ✨

This week ML kindergarten students have been working on listening to procedural steps. First they watched a video on how to make slime. 🧪 Next they participated in a shared writing experience to list the steps of how to make slime. Then they created their own independent procedural writing. ✍️ Last they used their procedural writing to make their own SLIME! 🚀

⏰ Practicing telling time on our “watches” by asking our friends, “What time is it?” 🚀

We would like to cordially invite our former Reidville Rockets graduating from high school this year to attend our annual Grad Walk for this years graduating class of 2025! Please see the invitation below.

A big thanks to our cafe workers for taking care of our students nutrition while here at school! We are grateful to have such a wonderful team!

We are so grateful for our fearless leader, Dr. Rose! She works tirelessly for our faculty, staff and entire student body, ensuring that everyone not only has what they need but knows that they are supported. Please be sure to give her a shout out and a big thank you when you see Dr. Rose this week!
