🐠 Fabian’s Fishies have been working hard learning routines in the classroom. 🔦 Last week they learned their “Read to Self” routine to build our reading stamina! 📚

Attendance is crucial to a healthy and engaging learning environment for your student! Please be sure to have your student here on time each day if possible!

Please help us congratulate Cayce Hoenshel! We are so thankful to have her here at Reidville with us!

Mrs. Burgess's 4th graders are studying Potential and Kinetic energy. Students created examples of both using resources around the classroom. 📐 Then, we traveled to Dollywood and Carowinds to see potential and kinetic energy in motion. 🎢

You may recognize this face from our campus. 🔍 Meet Officer Jefferson. She is one of our Sub SRO's and we are thankful to have her helping us out in the morning with arrival traffic! 🚔This week, we sorted her into one of our Reidville Ohana's! 🌸

This Friday, August 30th make sure you wear your college colors or a RVES shirt in show of College Colors Day! We can't wait to see you!

This past Friday, Scooters Coffee in Duncan provided our staff with coffees and hot teas! ☕️ It was such a nice treat for a Friday! 🗓️
Thank you Scooters for taking care of us! 🚀

Mrs. Kurtycz's fourth graders easing into ELA with some poetry writing! ✍️ 📚

🌸While getting to know each other last week, each first grade class colored parts of a class letter to combine to make the whole word "Ohana" displayed on our first grade hallway. 🏝️

Team building in our STEAM class with Mrs. Harding and one of our fifth grade classes! 5️⃣ Students were asked to help the little LEGO Sam get his life vest on and into the boat without using the fingers! They were given paper clips and a team to work with. Thank you Mrs. Harding for a fun way to open the year!🚀

🌸 This past Friday, our students, faculty and staff members were all in attendance at our Ohana sorting! 🚀 Each family will be working on a passion project throughout the year with their other "family members". Our families are made up of students from all grade levels as well as faculty and staff members. We cannot wait to see the outstanding community that we will all have built by the end of the year in our Ohanas! 🏝️

This week, Mrs. Carovillanos third graders talked about teamwork and how to be a good teammate. 🚀Encouraging words, helping each other, and including everyone because we all have unique ways of solving problems were among the ideas discussed. Then the teams put their discussion into action by building cup towers! They had to work together to figure out how to unstack the cups and build their tower without using their hands!

The Town of Reidville is hosting an event on August 17th from 11AM-3PM. Food, games, music and fun for all! We hope to see you there!
