Mr. Sandlin’s students acted out informational texts and then played the role of jurors to decide if Galileo was a hero or a fool!
This week Mrs. Howard’s students closed up their computers and used atlases to learn about Africa. No school like the Old School! 🌍🌍🌍

Mrs. Wiant’s Math 7 class played the “Unfair Game” to review multi-step equations. Students were highly engaged as they competed for some very original prizes, including mac & cheese, sunglasses, dinosaurs, and Paw Patrol figures!

Due to a winter storm watch issued by the National Weather Service, all District Five Schools and offices will be closed on Friday, January 10. ❄️ Friday, January 10 will be an e-Learning day for all District Five students. 💻 This decision was made in the best interest of safety for all D5 students and staff, as snow, sleet and ice is predicted by late Friday morning, and roads will likely be unsafe for buses, families or student drivers to travel 🚌❄️🚗
Teachers will be in touch with students regarding all e-Learning assignments 📚📝. All after school and weekend activities are also canceled.📆
