Welcome to Wellford Academy of Science and Technology! 

I am honored to be the new principal of Wellford Academy! Although I am new to the principal role, I have spent the prior six years as the assistant principal here at Wellford. 

Wellford Academy is truly a special place with wonderful students, a dedicated and caring staff, and a supportive Wellford community. We currently serve approximately 480 students in grades K4-4th grade. Wellford Academy is also the smallest elementary school in Spartanburg District 5, and we are very fortunate to have smaller than average class sizes which is a benefit for all of our students. 

Wellford Academy is also a Science and Technology magnet school. We have a certified computer lab teacher who works with our students weekly on various technology related items, including designing and building models with our eight 3-D printers. Students in grades 1-4 also visit the Thinktank classroom weekly, where they have the opportunity to work with a certified science teacher who completes STEAM focused projects with each class. 

Finally, this will be our last year in our current location as we are moving into our brand new building during the 2024-2025 school year. Our school community is very excited about the opportunities this will provide to our teachers and students.
