Ms. Loving's class went to chorus for the first time today and had a blast! It was truly amazing! They are so thankful for their buddies that joined in on the fun too!

Students should have received information about this today! We're so excited to get our student council up and running!

Updates from our athletic department!
We are so proud of all of our student athletes! Go Wolves!

📢Big Sunday Announcement: The Wolves Volleyball team brought home some hardware this weekend!📢
We are so proud of these girls for their 2nd place finish this weekend. They competed against 24 teams playing 7 games throughout the day with only an hour break. They battled it out in the championship taking Riverside to 3 sets but fell short. A big thank you to all those who came out to support us, especially our ACMS Staff and Mr. Dean! Your support means the world to us. We look forward to a great season with these girls. GO WOLVES🐺

Mrs. Linkous' 6th grade social studies competed in the "The Fast and Curious" this week with their new vocabulary words! Monday they took an online gamified quiz to get their baseline, then they worked all week to try to get a 90% or higher as a class! Even with some technical difficulties they all still grew SO much and helped each other learn along the way!

In Ms. Emerson's theater class the students were assigned to work together to fit as many people as they can on an island since the other islands have been taken over by lava! This game is called “Disappearing Island”. It is one of many drama warm up activities she does to get the students working together and getting to know each other. Looks like so much fun!

Students in Ms. Duncan's class were so excited to check out brand new books in our library today! 📚🎉

Parents of all fall athletes, please note the meeting coming up!

In Mrs. Anschuetz’s Science class, students designed an experiment to test their hypothesis on the best volume of water to flip a bottle so it lands upright. Some students even discovered alternative ways, such as bouncing a full bottle to land upright!

Students had a blast using LEGO blocks to practice collaboration and coding in their App Creators class!

Mr. Watson's AVID elective students focused on building community. They had a visual of our connectedness through the Spiderweb activity using yarn! #teamwork #community

Mrs. Watson's class participated in an educational Escape Room challenge to enhance teamwork and collaboration skills. Students solved puzzles together, emphasizing communication and critical thinking. The experience promoted teamwork, leadership, and strengthened peer relationships. Way to go Wolfpack!

Mrs. Edge’s English 1 students are utilizing the collaboration room for summer reading book clubs! 📚Such an amazing space that we have on each hallway! So many possibilities!

Happy Friday everyone! It's been a great first week at ACMS! Today is our first pep rally, and what better way to celebrate than to have our high school
cheerleaders welcome us to school this morning!

Mrs. Harper's 8th grade English 1 honors students are working collaboratively to create a presentation for the class on their summer reading books!

Ms. Morris' students participated in a marshmallow tower activity today! Students had to work in teams to make the highest tower. While they worked on this, they learned about the importance of communication and having a good foundation in their relationships with others.

Students in Mrs. Quinby’s class practiced using hexagonal thinking to make connections between items related to school. This was a great way to collaborate and share their rationale with one another too!
