In Mrs. Quinby’s class, students engaged in a thoughtful Socratic seminar about whether girls should be allowed to play on high school football teams, exploring both the benefits and challenges. Each participant respectfully shared their perspectives, questioning societal norms and examining the importance of inclusivity and equal opportunities in sports.

Meet Mr. Bryan Beeson, our new School
counselor!
What inspired him to become a teacher?
I became a teacher to invest in and make a difference in the lives of the students that I serve.
A little bit about him...
I grew up in the lower part of the state in a small town, Mullins--located between Florence and Myrtle Beach. After graduating from Erskine College I taught Special Education for 11 years before becoming certified as a School Counselor. I have been a School Counselor for the past 11 years in Greenville County at Bryson Middle School. I reside in Simpsonville with my wife and 3 children.

A huge shoutout to the student athletes that have been a part of the Student Athlete Leadership Team. They were highlighted by the district for their outstanding work with the students at ACA. Congrats! Go Wolves!

Students in 7th grade Medical Detectives classes got to have hands-on learning by finding the parts of the brain when they dissected a sheep brain.

Students in 8th grade Medical Detectives classes got to show off what they’ve been learning about the brain by dissecting a sheep brain.

Congratulations to our incredible choral students for earning the highest possible rating of Superior with Distinction today at Concert Performance Assessment! They performed two songs for judges, then sight read a piece of music for another judge and earned a 96/100! We are so proud of this huge accomplishment.

It was a gorgeous day for soccer! Even Officer Moreno got in on the fun! ⚽️

We learned from a Realtor today at Wolves of the Workforce! Mrs. Resa Watson shared all things Real Estate with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. She even brought treat bags for student attendees! Mrs. Watson has lots of family connections here at Abner Creek; she is the aunt of Bella, Sadie, Charlee, and Hayden, and the sister-in-law of Mrs. Lindsay Watson! Thank you for visiting us today!

Engagement was at its highest with a fun review game of Trasketball in Mrs. Bo’s ELA class on Monday.
Students needed to work in teams answering DOK leveled questions. DOK 1’s were worth 1 point, DOK 2’s were 2 point shots and DOK. 3’s were 3 point shots.

Our PTO is the best!
Today they celebrated the teachers and staff with a March Madness lunch treat!
Thank you so much for all you do!
