AVID students just finished learning how to conduct tutorial labs.
The goal of AVID tutorials is to teach students how to learn through the inquiry process. Students also learn how to function in collaborative study groups and take their learning to a higher level, all while preparing for college culture. Tutorials are conducted every Tuesday and Thursday during the AVID class. AVID students will help each other and hope to be able to offer tutoring to non AVID students who may be struggling in core content as well!

We have some very BIG NEWS about two of our student athletes! Nealy Pretulak (left) has led the girls golf team to the State Championship. This is a major accomplishment for a 7th grader to be a #1 golfer and lead a team to State. Adelyn Peightal (right) is also #1 for the Byrnes Varsity Tennis team! Amazing accomplishments ladies! We are so proud of you!

Today, students in Mrs. Bo and Mrs. Quinby’s classes enjoyed a cozy reading session with tea and cookies while diving into The Landlady. The suspenseful story brought plenty of mystery and excitement to the classroom. Great job to all the students for their thoughtful discussions and engagement.

Students in Mrs. Linkous' social studies classes participated in their second "Iron Chef" project of the year! They worked hard individually and as small groups to research, create, and present information on ancient India. They even completed self evaluations and made goals for the next time.

Not only did teachers get treated to breakfast from PTO, but our amazing administration treated us all to a pizza as we left today. Many of us have big plans this evening, and it's so nice that we don't have to cook or worry about feeding our families. Thank you so much for all the "extras" today!

This morning our faculty and staff were treated to a very spooky breakfast by our amazing PTO. What a wonderful way to start off such a fun day! Thank you PTO!
