All retirement and group insurance benefits provided to eligible South Carolina state, public higher education institute and public school district employees are administered and manged by PEBA.
PEBA Retirement Benefits
All newly hired state, public higher education institution and public school district employees, are eligible to choose between two PEBA administered retirement plans. This includes all permanent full-time, temporary and part-time employees. Retirement plan elections must be made within 30 days of the employees date of hire.
