Congratulations are in order for Mikaela Davis, District Five's 2022-23 Support Employee of the Year! Superintendent Dr. Randall Gary surprised Davis with the exciting news this week.
Davis first joined the District Five family in November of 2020, and serves as the Benefits Coordinator for the entire district. In this role, she works with employees across District Five, and says her greatest reward is helping employees through different life events and stages of their career. "I enjoy celebrating the victories and also being a source of hope in times of challenge," Davis says. "Affirmation and encouragement are qualities that I love to share with others."
In her recommendation, administrators called Davis an "asset" to District Five. Director of Personnel, Heather Lister, says: "From helping new mothers navigate paperwork for requesting family medical leave, to comforting a staff member in the tragic death of a spouse or loved one, Mikaela knows just what comfort and support is needed. She handles everything beautifully and with grace."
