The Spartanburg District Five family is getting bigger, just in time for the 2023-24 school year! District Five is welcoming 170 new teachers and support staff to its schools this year, a sign of the district's tremendous growth over the last several years. New teachers and staff were officially welcomed on Tuesday, starting with a day of professional development and learning, and wrapping up with a luncheon spent with administrators and district leaders.
This year's group of new staff members includes more than 30 induction teachers, which signifies educators who are brand new to the classroom.
