Spartanburg District Five parents and families can begin planning for next school year, as the 2025-26 school year calendar has officially been released. District Five's Board of Trustees unanimously approved the calendar at its regularly scheduled board meeting Monday night.
The first day of school for students for the 2025-26 school year will be August 11, 2025, with the last day on May 22, 2026.
The winter holidays will begin on December 22, 2025 and last through January 5, 2026 for students. Spring Break is scheduled for April 6-10, 2026.
As the district has done the last several years, there will be two "Early Release Days" for students during the year, one scheduled for September 24, 2025, and the other on February 11, 2026. Early release days follow the district's "half day schedule" for students, and allow time for professional development time for teachers and staff.
